Context.

Jurmala city, a popular tourist destination on the Latvian coast, was struggling to attract visitors and stand out in a crowded market. Despite its beautiful beaches and charming wooden houses, Jurmala was often overshadowed by more flashy and vibrant vacation spots. Many tourists saw the city as old-fashioned and unremarkable, and were unwilling to choose it as a destination.

Idea.

In order to rejuvenate the city's image and appeal to a younger, more energetic audience, the Jurmala city council decided to embark on a rebranding campaign. They wanted to position Jurmala as a lively and vibrant destination, associated with sun, fun, and summertime. We updated the city's logo and visual identity to be more colorful and playful

Impact.

The city's new image as a lively and vibrant destination also helped it attract more investment and development, leading to further economic growth and prosperity. Overall, the rebranding campaign had a transformative impact on Jurmala, helping it shed its old, unremarkable image and become a premier summer destination.
